No-one knows your child like you do – that is why we are here to ensure you have all the information you need at your fingertips to be able to make the right decision about your child’s education.
Choosing the right school is the most important investment you can make in their future and here at Parkside, we believe this is where their learning foundations are set and their educational journey starts; along with making lifelong friends and memories.

Nursery Admissions Process – Co-Educational for ages 2-4
After a visit to Parkside Nursery and a decision to proceed with the admission, we would ask you to fill in a registration form, sign an acceptance form and pay a deposit to secure their place. If your child is not yet two, we invite you and your child to join our 'Stay and Play' Group, where you will meet other parents, Nursery staff and at the same time, be thrilled to see how your child becomes familiar with their new surroundings, ready for their first day of Nursery.
We welcome children the term after their second birthday into the Hedgehogs’ class, for children aged 2-3, into the Squirrels' class and for their pre-Reception year, children start into the Owls’ class where they are prepared for Reception.
Pre Prep Admissions Process – Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
For your son to join Pre Prep, we welcome you to come and visit us to see our wonderful and vibrant department, experience our dynamic teachers in action within our small class sizes and see the abundance of facilities that are on offer. For boys joining Reception, the admissions process is the same as for Nursery as they are still part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). For boys joining Year 1 & 2, on registration, we will invite your son to come in for a ‘Taster Day’ of his/your choice, so he can spend the day with his peers. Assessments in English and maths will take place to ensure he is able to access the curriculum in line with his cohort.
Prep Admissions Process – Years 3-8
We welcome boys throughout the year groups into the Prep department, if our class sizes are not full. Your son’s happiness and confidence is paramount and we have been told by new parents that their sons are immediately made to feel part of the Parkside family and that the transition is seamless and welcoming, which we very much pride ourselves on. Boys are invited in for a Taster Day of his / your choice upon registering, so they can spend the day with their peers. Assessments in English and maths will take place to ensure your son is able to access the curriculum in line with his cohort. Following a successful day with their cohort of new friends, we would then be able to offer your son a place, which is confirmed by signing an Acceptance Form and paying a deposit.
