We have recently moved to Parkside and have had nothing but a positive experience. The number one priority of the school is the boys and this is apparent in all areas, academic progress and development, sporting achievements and the boys’ happiness and wellbeing. We were delighted to be able to make three Unconditional Offers to Parkside boys this year. Like the prep school at Parkside, Tonbridge specialises in the education of boys. We are academically selective and Parkside boys are well prepared for the academic rigour here. Similarly, boys from Parkside easily transition to the depth and breadth of co-curricular pursuits at Tonbridge, including music, sport and the creative arts. The intellectual curiosity and enjoyment of these activities is nurtured at Parkside and flourishes at Tonbridge as the boys reach their teens. 35 miles along the M25, we are not that far away either! We very much look forward to developing our relationship with Parkside in the years to come.

School Inspections

ISI Inspection - December 2025

We are delighted to publish our most recent inspection report from December 2025. 

This report confirms the school is exceptionally well led, with a broad and ambitious curriculum and a strong focus on pupils’ wellbeing, confidence and character. Inspectors praised the quality of teaching, behaviour, safeguarding culture and the way pupils are prepared academically and personally for future challenges.

ISI Material Change Inspection - February 2025

In preparation for Parkside School becoming co-educational, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) carried out a Material Change Inspection. The outcome confirmed that Parkside is well prepared to welcome girls beyond the Early Years, with all necessary standards being met. Inspectors praised our broad and inclusive curriculum, strong pastoral care, and effective safeguarding practices. They noted that the school promotes kindness, respect and equality, and that leadership has carefully planned and consulted with parents throughout the transition.

More than "Excellent" - ISI September 2022

We are pleased to share the full inspection report from ISI which celebrates the outstanding teaching, learning and academic excellence throughout the School.

The uncompromising love and care for the children was commended by the Inspectors; which we are thrilled they recognised is integral to the School’s success.

Ms Janssen (the Head), had a vision when she started in January 2019; to overhaul the whole teaching and learning experience for the pupils; settling for nothing less than excellent, which demanded much change. This inspection report encapsulates all that she set out to achieve. The outstanding staff are at the core of Parkside’s success and have ensured that the School continues to be more than "excellent".
