Parkside school 207

Admissions Process

No-one knows your child like you do – that is why we are here to ensure you have all the information you need at your fingertips to be able to make the right decision about your child’s education.

Choosing the right school is the most important investment you can make in their future and here at Parkside, we believe this is where their learning foundations are set and their educational journey starts; along with making lifelong friends and memories.

In the first instance, please do contact me and let me know all about your son or daughter, so we can arrange a personal tour for you, or invite you to our next Open Morning.

I look forward to speaking with you and answering any questions, no matter how small, about all aspects of Nursery and School life.

Nursery Admissions Process – Co-Educational for ages 2-4

After a visit to Parkside Nursery and a decision to proceed with the admission, we would ask you to fill in a registration form, sign an acceptance form and pay a deposit to secure their place. If your child is not yet 2, we invite you and your child to join our Parent and Toddler Group, where you will meet other parents, Nursery staff and at the same time, be thrilled to see how your child becomes familiar with their new surroundings, ready for their first day of Nursery.

We welcome children from their second birthday into the Hedgehogs’ class, for children aged 2-3, into the Squirrel’s class and for their pre-reception year, children start into the Owls’ class where they are prepared for Reception.

Pre Prep Admissions Process – Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

For your son to join Pre Prep, we welcome you to come and visit us to see our wonderful and vibrant department, experience our dynamic teachers in action within our small class sizes and see the abundance of facilities that are on offer. For boys joining Reception, the admissions process is the same as for Nursery as they are still part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).  For boys joining Year 1&2, we will invite your son to come in for a Taster Day following Registration, so he can spend the day with his peers and assessments in English and maths will take place to ensure he is able to access the curriculum.  Following a successful day we would then be in a position to offer your son a place, which can be secured by signing an Acceptance Form and paying a deposit.

Prep Admissions Process – Years 3-8

We welcome boys throughout the year groups into the Prep department, if our class sizes of 16 are not full.  Your son’s happiness and confidence is paramount and we have been told by new parents that their sons are immediately made to feel part of the Parkside family and that the transition is seamless and welcoming, which we very much pride ourselves on.  Boys are invited in for a Taster Day upon registering, so they can spend the day with their peers and assessments in English and maths will take place to ensure your son is able to access the curriculum. Following a successful day with their cohort of new friends, we would then be able to offer your son a place, which is confirmed by signing an Acceptance Form and paying a deposit. Please note that class sizes are 14 in Pre Prep and 16 in Prep so there is often space for Year 3 entry.

Inspirational Environment

Parkside School is set in 45 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside on the banks of the River Mole. It provides vast amounts of outdoor space for children to play and learn, which is incorporated into our curriculum.

Tailored Education

Parkside School is a wonderful environment where children’s curiosity is awakened. Their journey is one of discovery; where talents and passions are nurtured and developed and our pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning.

Creating Memories

Parkside School is the beginning of a child's journey in education. It establishes roots to grow and develops each individual's talents and passions, as part of the Parkside family.
