Parkside School App
A new way to stay connected with Parkside
We’ve introduced the Reach More Parents app to make school communication clearer, easier to find, and less reliant on email. This page brings together everything you need to get started, including a short video walkthrough, a user guide, and answers to common questions.
Watch: How to Use the App
This short video walks you through the main features of the app and shows you where to find key information.
Getting Started
- Download the Parkside School app from the App Store or Google Play
- Look out for your email containing your unique enrolment code
- Log in once and accept push notifications
- You’re ready to go, no need to log in again
What You’ll Find in the App
Messages (Inbox) - Important or urgent communication from the school, including changes to the school day or individual messages about your child. This will replace messages currently sent out via email.
Calendar - All key school events and dates in one place. SOCS should still be used for Sporting fixtures.
Newsfeed - Photos, updates and highlights from across the school. Designed for browsing in your own time.
Notices - Helpful reminders for things like non-uniform days, ticket deadlines and assemblies.
Parent Portal - Your child-specific information, with the ability to toggle between children and report an absence.
Hub - Quick access to key information and useful links.
Forms - Used when we need to collate information and responses.
Reporting an Absence
Absences should be reported directly through the app.
From the Parent Portal, select your child and click Report an absence. Your message will be sent straight to the school office, and you’ll receive a notification once it has been received and processed. There’s no need to phone or email separately.

Support & Drop-In Sessions
Introducing a new system like this takes time, and we really appreciate your patience as we make the transition.
If you would like face-to-face support, we’re offering two drop-in sessions with Holly Baxter-Horne and Alex Gainer, where you can ask questions or receive help using the app:
- Wednesday 4 February, 8:45–9:15am
- Monday 9 February, 8:45–9:15am
Please come to Main Reception.
For school communication queries, contact pa@parkside-school.co.uk.
For technical help with the app, Reach More Parents offers a dedicated parent support service within the app.
Q&A
Do I still need to check my email?
The launch of the app means that all school communications will come to you via the app. In this transition period you will receive an email until you have downloaded the app.
Will I get notifications?
Yes, as long as push notifications are enabled on your phone within app. This will be for important Inbox messages only, not Notices and Newsfeed posts. They are there to view in your own time.
I have more than one child - do I need two accounts?
No. You can toggle between children within the Parent Portal.
Can both parents have access?
Yes, each parent or carer will have their own account as long as you have supplied us with an email address for each of you.
I’m having trouble logging in, who do I contact?
You should have received a unique enrolment email, please check your junk in case it has landed in there.
If you have any questions about school communication, please contact: Fee Corbould-Dawe on pa@parkside-school.co.uk
If you need technical help using the app itself, Reach More Parents also offers a dedicated parent support service, available by calling 01509 221349, support@weduc.com, or by accessing the "Help" section of the app.
We hope you find the app simple to use and helpful in keeping you connected with school life.
I already use Reach More Parents for another school, how does this work?
If you already use the app with another school, you can simply link this school to your existing account:
- Open the app and go to App Settings > Enrol a New Account
Can I download the app on a non-Apple device?
Yes. The Reach More Parents (Parkside School) app is available on both iPhone (Applie iOS) and Android devices. Simply search “Parkside School” in the App Store or Google Play Store, download the app, and follow the enrolment steps using your unique code.
