Admissions Process

At Parkside, we realise that the best way to decide on whether or not a school is right for your child, is to come and visit us. With the government guidelines in mind, we are pleased to be able to offer distanced personal tours. These tours will take place on the school site with the Deputy Head, Mrs Madeline McMurdo.

We also realise that some may not feel comfortable meeting face to face, therefore, we care continuing our bespoke virtual tours should you wish to visit the school from the comfort of your home. The tour is completely interactive, and delivered via Zoom, so that any questions you may have can be answered.

The next Open Morning is scheduled for Friday 2 October 2020. This event is an opportunity to visit the school and see the pupils in action. There will be an informal talk with the Head, Ms Nicole Janssen before taking a tour with one of our fabulous Parkside boys!

The first point of contact for prospective parents is our School Registrar, Lindre Scott, who can currently be contacted at Mrs Scott, can arrange any of the above types of visits for you, answer questions and discuss the needs of your child or children. Mrs Scott can also arrange a time for you to meet our Head, Nicole Janssen, to ask any questions you may have.

Once you have decided what is best for your child's future, the next step is to register them with the School via our registration form. The completed form should be sent to the Registrar along with the registration fee (£100). If you have any further questions after your visit, or would like to speak to other parents or teachers, Mrs Scott can arrange this for you.

Please note: early registration is recommended. Registrations will be considered in the order they are received.

In line with other schools, and as part of a new initiative at Parkside, we are introducing an assessment day for all boys entering the school into Year 3. Once your child is registered with Parkside, your son will receive an invitation to this event. Your son will be informally assessed in Maths and English and take part in small group activities. Please be assured that no preparation for the day is required.

We will keep in touch with you during your time at Parkside and our staff will ensure that your child is made to feel very welcome from his very first day. We also have a very active parent body, the Friends of Parkside, who are always keen to welcome new parents and help you settle in to life at Parkside.

We look forward to hearing from you very soon.
