We were delighted to be able to make three Unconditional Offers to Parkside boys this year. Like the prep school at Parkside, Tonbridge specialises in the education of boys. We are academically selective and Parkside boys are well prepared for the academic rigour here. Similarly, boys from Parkside easily transition to the depth and breadth of co-curricular pursuits at Tonbridge, including music, sport and the creative arts. The intellectual curiosity and enjoyment of these activities is nurtured at Parkside and flourishes at Tonbridge as the boys reach their teens. 35 miles along the M25, we are not that far away either! We very much look forward to developing our relationship with Parkside in the years to come.

Years 1 & 2 Outdoor Taster

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is paramount, therefore, we would like to make this process easier for you by inviting your son to try out one of our Year 1 & 2 Taster Sessions.

This is a wonderful introduction to Prep School, where the boys will build confidence and develop their communication and social skills by making new friends. They will spend time with our current Year 1 and 2 boys in a fun and relaxed environment, where they will discover our creative curriculum and spend time with our talented teachers and specialists in forest school and sport.

The Great Outdoors: Forest School

SG FSOn Friday 2 February 2024, the taster session will start at 12pm and finish at 3pm, with specific focus on the great outdoors. The boys will be out and about exploring parts of our 45 acres of beautiful grounds with Mr Grace, our specialist forest school teacher. They will learn outdoor skills such as den building and foraging, as well as the importance of respecting nature and looking after our environment.

Your son will join the other boys for lunch in our 18th century Salon, where they will choose from delicious and nutritious food options. The menu for the day will be released nearer the time, but please do let us know about any allergies or intolerances.

Mr Leek, Director of Sport and Mr Russ will be hosting the sports session and will teach the boys specific skills in sports such as hand-eye coordination and fun games based around rugby and football. Most importantly, this session will provide an introduction to Parkside’s Sporting Values: sport for fun, sport for life, good sportsmanship and teamwork. This session is for all abilities and will be an engaging and fun introduction to sport at Parkside School.
