Sports

Sport plays a significant role in the life of the school and we operate a full fixture list in soccer, hockey and cricket. All boys are encouraged to participate from an early age and, with eight teams to choose from, it is almost unheard of for a boy not to represent the school at one level or another. Other popular options include athletics, badminton, basketball, golf, judo, kayaking, rugby, swimming and tennis. Our full time director of sport is supported by other staff who hold appropriate coaching and officiating qualifications.

Our sporting facilities are always being improved, with the refurbishment of the indoor pool and the addition of three tennis courts and four cricket nets showing our commitment to sports in the future.

Congratulations!

To Parkside tennis ladies who played their first competitive tennis match away to a team of ladies from Surbiton Tennis Club.  Parkside finally outshone the opposition and emerged victorious, winning 45 games against a strongly fought 35 games for Surbiton.

To Matthew Szepietowski (javelin), Renny Smith (800m), Lewis Bowerman (hurdles and long jump) and our U12 relay team on qualifying for the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships to be held at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

To Max Subba Row and Matthew Clarke who have been selected to represent the U10 Surrey Squad.

To Sonny Cott, Oskar Kolk, Nicholas Embling and Daniel Douthwaite who have been selected to represent the U11 Surrey County Squad, Sonny will be captain.

To Oliver Taylor, a member of the U11 hockey team, who has been selected for the Surrey U 13 squad. It was a long selection process involving 12 hours of assessment and 200 participants so he has done exceedingly well!
