Prep School montage

Music

Music is very strong, with all year groups performing regularly and ample opportunity for individual music tuition and ensemble playing. Our head of music, supported by specialist teachers works from a well equipped and recently modernised unit which includes rehearsal rooms, music technology as well as instrument storage. Several boys have gained places in the IAPS orchestra and National Children’s Orchestra and we regularly prepare boys with ability for musical scholarships at public schools.

Individual music tuition is offered on the following instruments:

  • Piano
  • Clarinet, flute and saxophone
  • Cornet and trombone
  • Drums
  • Violin
  • Guitar- both classical and electric
  • Voice
